Common Functionality

These are Common Functions that are shared within all out-of-box LightWork Attendance reports and are found within the Parameter screen.

  1. Output Type Selection
Located within the 'General' tab, the 'Output' type allows you to select the method in which your report is delivered. All reports can be exported into a PDF or Excel.
Note: If the PDF method is selected a new tab will be opened which may be prohibited by pop-up blockers. If the Excel method is selected the report will be brought directly into a CSV file to open in Excel and formatting may be affected. Formatting may require manual intervention.

  2. Employee(s) Selection
Located within the 'Employees' tab, these options allow you to select My Employees (Employees who have been configured for your User to have access to within User Security such as Direct Reports), Specific Employees (Employees selected from a list of Employees your User has access to), and selected Organization Levels (which would allow you to refine results based by company as well as company specific Organization Levels).

  3. Attendance Plans Selection
Located within the 'Attendance Plans' tab, a User can assign the specific Attendance Plans they would like the report to limit by. If none are moved to the 'Assigned' section then all 'Available' options would be applied as the parameter for Attendance Plans.

  4. Selected Details Preview
Located within the 'General' tab, the 'Selected Details' section provides a comprehensive overview of all parameter selections made on the various tabs within each Attendance report.
Note: The Selected Details that are displayed align with the parameters that are available for selection within each Attendance report. If a specific parameter is not available as a selection on that report, it will not be displayed within the 'Selected Details' section. For example, the Transaction Log report allows you to filter by 'Transaction Types' since the Transaction Type directly correlates with Transactions, whereas the Absence Log report does not. Therefore, the Transaction Log report will have a section dedicated to ‘Transaction Types’ within the Selected Details preview, but the Absence Log report will not. For more information on Parameters, please see the Parameters Screen.

Note: Each of these reports is controlled by a ‘Securable’ which allows for efficient control over what Users can have access to them. This security measure allows Administrators to easily grant and remove access to these tools.
